HUDCETT - the future

The LSIS contract for the Centres for Excellence in Teacher Training came to an end in April, although HUDCETT will complete its contract in August.  HUDCETT will continue as the development arm of the PCET Consortium and will continue to bid for funds to continue its project work to support trainees, teacher educators and tutors in the Lifelong Learning Sector.  There are presently two bids under consideration; one on Skills for Life and a Leonardo project on Equality and Diversity.  We will also submit a bid to the Higher Education Academy in the Autumn to support the development of modelling of teaching skills by Teacher Educators.  We have already approached two other universities who are interested in working with us on this. HUDCETT's work on the Journal Teaching in Lifelong Learning: A journal to inform and improve practice will continue and OurSubject will be offered from September on a free access basis.
